Jay-Z is undeniably one of the greatest rappers that ever lived. Over the years, the Brooklyn native has displayed a work ethic and career drive like no other. So if Georgetown University offering a class in “Sociology of Hip-Hop” focused on Jay-Z, shocks you, then you need to have a seat with the two losers in the corner. The class will be lectured by Professor Michael Eric Dyson, who explains:
This is not a class meant to sit around and go, ‘Oh man, those lyrics were dope.” We’re dealing with everything that’s important in a sociology class: race, gender, ethnicity, class, economic inequality, social injustice.
