Rose, here is a dirty picture for you. “Styrofoam” is the necessary natural consequence of a theory of love. A theory which is false. A theory, which I, Ron Melas, know to be false. There are many permanent things. Love is one of them, and, for humans, it is necessary, if we are to be fully human.
You wrote the song and published it because it was necessary for you to do so. You had no choice. Up until the moment I proposed to you ambiguously, I imagine you thought you had a choice in matters of love. I mean, it seems fairly obvious that just because someone loves you, you are not required to love them. Mistake.
The problem, as I see it, is that we are immersed in both ignorance and bullshit, about both ourselves and others. Love, which is what we are, longs to know itself, both as activity and passivity. “To love, and be beloved, is the soul’s paradise.”
When I first heard your music, I saw in it a lover seeking to communicate herself to another, but stopped by obstacles, within herself. Because your songs are written with others, it is difficult, at times, to discern your contribution. I did not realize this, and you know the rest of that story.
However, you now know who I am, and, I suspect, realize that you have fallen into a trap. My Rose, what happened? Didn’t see that coming, did we? What cha gonna do, Love? Any proposals?

Joy to you, Rose.
