Last night was a big day for tech news. Not only was it the date of the biggest video game news source, E3, it was also when Apple scheduled its annual Keynote presentation.

iOS 7

While Apple did not reveal the iPhone 6 as many had hoped, it did announce the next version of its iOS, version 7. iOS 7 boasts an entirely new design with new icons. It not only looks great, but it also comes with many new features. The new version will add a control center (similar to SBSettings for jailbreak users) that will allow you to quickly adjust settings from wherever you are without having to open the Settings app. Multitasking has been improved to show previews of what you’re doing in each app. Siri will have a new design and the ability to speak to the user with a male voice. The camera will come with preinstalled filters. Finally, AirDrop will make it easy to share things like photos with people around you.

iOS 7 beta is available now.

iTunes Radio

Apple will be launching iTunes Radio later this year. This is basically the company’s version of Pandora Internet Radio. The ad-supported version will be free. However, if you purchase an iTunes Match account for $25 per year, you won’t be bothered by pesky ads.

OS X Mavericks

OS X Mavericks is the next version of Apple’s infamous desktop/laptop operating system. New features include a tabbed-version of Finder, an ability to tag files to make for easier searching and a new version of Safari.

Mac Pro

Above is the tower of the new Mac Pro. Yes, very unorthodox. The 9.9-inch cylinder is slated to release later this year and boasts a Xeon E5 processor, features dual AMD FirePro workstation-class graphics processors.

MacBook Air

The changes for the MacBook Air are more subtle. Design hasn’t changed much, but battery life and wi-fi speed have been improved. You’ll be able to purchase the new version for $999 for the 11-inch version and $1099 for the 13-inch version. Both models come with either 128GB or 256GB of flash storage.

Sony went at Microsoft’s neck last night during their presentation at E3. A lot of people who were on the fence, or even set on purchasing the Xbox One, were converted.

One of the biggest blows was dealt during the reveal of the price point. It was announced that the PlayStation 4 would be available this holiday season for $399, that’s a full $100 cheaper than the Xbox One.

Besides price, another major selling point was the fact that users did not need to have to maintain a constant internet connection to authorize games. This means that unlike the Xbox One, PS4 owners could still easily swap and trade-in games without restriction.

Finally, in terms of hardware, the PS4 boasts a 33% faster GPU than the Xbox One. Has your decision changed on what system you’ll be purchasing this year?

Nintendo has already launched its Wii U, Sony has announced its PlayStation 4, and now Microsoft has revealed its next-gen video game console. The press conference video above clocks in at over an hour in length, so if you wanna get straight to the details we’ve summed them up for you below.

The Xbox One aims to replace the cable box currently in your home. Microsoft has made it clear that their new system aims to be more than just a video game console.

The main hook for the Xbox One is its voice-controlled interface. Stemming from the idea introduced by Xbox Kinect, the Xbox One will allow a hands-free experience. The user can use voice commands like “Watch ESPN” or, “American Idol” to do just that. Similarly, the user can use these same types of commands to do other things like switch to a video game seamlessly.

The new system will boast 8 gigabyes of RAM, a Blu-ray drive, USB 3.0 connectivity and both HDMI in and out. The OS will contain Windows influences.

Four major sports franchises are already prepared to release games for the Xbox One next season including ”FIFA 14,” “Madden 25,” “UFC,” and “NBA Live 14.”

The next generation iPhone 5s from Apple looks to have some new major features. The highly popular phone will get an upgraded 12-megapixel camera, which includes improved image capture capabilities in low light. The 5s will also get an upgraded processor, new camera, and possibly a new color. While no official release date is set, you can possibly expect a summer launch for the new phone.

Twitter is set to release their brand new music app that has been in the works for awhile but has been kept secret until now. Ryan Seacrest had a chance to check it out.

It should be interesting to see how it can compete with the likes of larger streaming services such as Pandora or Spotify.

A streaming-only service, it will feature Soundcloud clips you can listen to from within the app and music videos from Vevo, according to AllThingsD. CNET previous reported that the app would be divided into four sections, including “#NowPlaying”, and that a Twitter account would not be necessary to use it.
