It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard from Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow. Can you believe it’s been three years since she won “Best Director” for The Hurt Locker? She was the first woman to achieve that, might I add.
Bigelow is back, and it looks like she’s tacking a topic that could be even more emotionally charged than her previous film: Osama Bin Laden.
The film will essentially be a retelling of the “greatest man hunt in history.” Remember when the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks, Osama Bin Laden, was found a killed last year? That’s exactly what this film will be about.
I’ve watched the trailer, and although it’s only about a minute long, it’s extremely gripping. It’s way too early to make predictions as far as Oscars go, but I’d be willing to bet that Bigelow will be nominated for a few Academy Awards. That’s how promising this film looks.
