Many people doubted that a reboot of the Spider-Man franchise would be successful, but Marc Webb has proved the doubters wrong.
The Amazing Spider-Man will be back, and Webb will be directing the sequel.
No release date has been announced for the film as we are still in the very early stages, but we do know that Andrew Garfield will reprise his role as Peter Parker.
Webb did update his Twitter account moments after the news broke, stating the following:
Ready for round 2.
Honestly, I can’t wait for the film. I saw the reboot last week, and I thought it was quite refreshing, much more character driven that the films featuring Toby Maguire.
Here’s to hoping Webb’s storytelling gets even better.
