Samsung’s Smart TV Evolution Kit, a new product first unveiled at last years Consumer Electronics Show (CES), will be showcased at CES 2013. The ‘Smart Evolution’ product/feature seeks to eliminate the need to purchase a brand new TV by allowing the consumer to upgrade their current Samsung Smart TV’s specs and software to that of the latest model. This kit (described as a ‘stick’) plugs into the back of Samsung’s Smart TVs and ‘evolves’ 2012 models to the latest 2013 models. It does this by adding hardware and enhancing software, such as CPU, memory and GPU upgrades. It will also have voice/motion control features. More will be announced at CES 2013, which will be held on January 8th to January 11th.
