Tyga Says Hotel California Will Not be a Pop Album

Tyga sat down with Complex magazine to talk music and his career. The interview covered many topics but perhaps the most important one would be the Young Money-signed artist’s forthcoming album.

The 22 year-old made it clear that he does not want to “go pop” on “Hotel California”.

“Young Money is mainstream and we big, but, you don’t have to make pop records to be bigger. I don’t want to be like, ‘Alright, now I been on from all these singles, let me go make some crossover stuff.’ That’s not what my fans want hear from me. It’s cool, you get some radio spins, but I can do that with what I’m doing now.”

“Hotel California” is expected sometime in 2013. Tyga is also planning on dropping “Fan of a Fan 2″- his collaboration with Chris Brown- sometime soon as well.
